Alun Be, whose real name is Alioune Ba, is a French-Senegalese photographer and architect born on April 17, 1981 in Dakar. He lives and works between Senegal, France and the United States. A self-taught photographer and trained architect, in 2015 his Empowering Women series was shown to the public at the Milan Universal Exhibition. This first exhibition has since opened many doors for her, including a 2016 appearance at the Dakar Biennale and a 2017 show at Lagos Photo (en). This photograph of a futuristic superheroine was the official poster for the event.
