Audrey d'Erneville is a Paris-born artist whose cultural journey spans across several countries, currently living between Dakar and Los Angeles. She spent part of her childhood in South Africa, and her work is deeply influenced by her Senegalese heritage. Inspired by the vibrant culture of Senegal, she draws from everyday elements such as public transport vehicles (car rapides), barber shop signs, textiles, fashion, and the bright colors of city life. This cultural richness informs her approach to creating "place and history-specific" Senegalese pop art. Audrey's background in graphic design is reflected in the typographic elements and layout within her paintings. Her works have been widely exhibited, including in major events like the "L'année d’après" gallery show at Théâtre Paris Villette during the Génération A festival, and at the Dak’Art biennial, where she presented her first large-scale painting. Additionally, she is the founder of "Chez Awa," a lifestyle and apparel brand inspired by West African culture AKAZ! ATL
