Ruth Colette Afane Belinga is cameroonian artist working between Douala and Yaoundé. She holds a degree in arts and art history from the University of Yaoundé I, and her research focuses on contemporary Cameroonian art, including “Étude sur l'image de la femme dans la peinture post-coloniale à Yaoundé: d'un point de vue esthétique, sociologique et anthropologique” and “L'évolution de la peinture du XXe siècle au Cameroun”. She is currently assistant curator at Artbakery in Douala. She writes for the Cameroonian art magazine “DIARTgonale” and is a member of its editorial board. She also writes for the Italian art magazine Africa e Mediterraneo.
