Ange Kayifa, born Yakan Mbani Linda Larissa, is a talented artist from the Centre region of Cameroon, whose artistic ambitions began to shine early in life. Known for her diverse abilities, she seamlessly navigates the worlds of music, film, decoration, and modeling, demonstrating remarkable versatility. The year 2011 was a pivotal one for Ange Kayifa as she immersed herself in the arts, actively participating in workshops on slam, poetry, dance, and theater at the French Institute of Yaoundé (IFC) and the theater laboratory Othni. These formative experiences allowed her to collaborate with established artists on the Cameroonian scene and explore various art forms. She ultimately found her true calling in fashion, focusing on designing necklaces, clothing, and accessories crafted from beads and recycled materials. In 2015, she furthered her career by joining the BENINYA Vocational Training Center in tailoring, where she honed her skills and began creating her own unique garments, which she shares on her Facebook page. Her artistic approach is deeply rooted in promoting and preserving African culture, which she regards as a priceless heritage to celebrate and pass on. Through her work, Ange Kayifa blends traditional and contemporary values to create pieces that are both deeply emotional and authentic. With her brand "Casa Negra," she showcases her ambition to establish a prominent reputation in the artistic world. Looking forward, she is preparing for a major exhibition scheduled for October at the French Institute of Yaoundé (IFC). This event, titled Water Flows in "Mboa", will feature a collection of clothing, jewelry, and other fashion accessories, offering the public a captivating glimpse into her creative universe. Through this exhibition, Ange Kayifa will not only display her talent and creations but also emphasize the importance of African culture in contemporary society.
