Merlin Tefolo, a Cameroonian visual artist born on November 7, 1977, in Libreville, studied at the National School of Arts and Manufactures in 1999. After moving to Cameroon in 2000, he quickly connected with Goddy Leye, Koko Komegne, Hervé Yamguen, and Hervé Youmbi, which helped him further develop his expertise. From 2002 to 2010, he participated in several group exhibitions and workshops in Douala and Yaoundé. In 2011, his work gained attention during the collective exhibition Kadima at the Keuko gallery. In 2012, he was invited to showcase his work at the Espace doual'art as part of the exhibition Douala, Portraits, alongside Dieudonné Fokou and Hako Hankson. He is also co-president of the organizing committee for the Bali neighborhood Plastic Arts Market in Douala and co-founder of the arts café Caf'art.
