After two years' training in drama at the Maison des Jeunes et des Cultures in Douala, Patrick Alex Daheu began his acting career with a major work, Les Petites Histoires de Roland Fichet, directed by Dovie KENDO, which toured Cameroon's French Cultural Centers and Alliances Françaises in 2005. His ever-increasing qualities and skills earned him the lead role in the successful play Wère Wére Liking, directed by Éric Delphin Kwegoue, which won the Best Director Award at the Scènes du théâtre Francophone d'Afrique Centrale, toured the Centres Culturels and Alliances françaises and was selected for the Festival International du Théâtre du Bénin (FITHEB 2010). His work as an actor has led him to work with directors such as Martin Ambara in the play OSIRIADE S.G. 21 and in Johan Wolfgang Von Goethe's Faust, a project initiated by the Goethe-Institut Kamerun for its 50th anniversary in Cameroon. He takes part in training workshops run by renowned theatrical figures such as André Bang, Maître Mwambayi Kologayi from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Jonas Embom. In 2014, he took part in a paper theater training workshop led by Alain Lecucq and Narguess Majd. In 2008, he directed his first play, Le Prince Badourou by Marie-Rose Gomis Soukho Konate, which was selected for the Festival Africain de Théâtre pour l'Enfance et la Jeunesse (Fatej). He directed Les Amis-Ennemis for the young audience program at the Institut Français de Douala. In 2015, he was awarded the Prix Découverte by the Institut Goethe Cameroun for his production of Par-delà le silence by Kouam Tawa. His rigorous approach to his work has enabled him to take part in theatrical creations such as Debout un pied by and for Sufo Sufo (France-Cameroon); Par tes yeux by Martin Bellemare, Sufo Sufo and Gianni Gregory-Fornet (France-Canada-Cameroon), touring on three continents. He dubs the animated short Le Destin d'un guerrier, which won the Best Animated Film Award at the 2009 Festival La Nuit du court-metrage and was selected for the 2009 Écrans Noirs. He is also a model for the 2011 Seigneurie advertising campaign. He is also an author and screenwriter.
