David Lynch is a renowned artist, born on January 20, 1946 in missoula, america. He is a photographer, an American painter, a screenwriter and a filmmaker, with 10 feature-length films released between 1977 and 2006, as well as a notable TV series twin peack, initially released in 1990 and 1991 and extended until 2017. An emblematic figure of American cinema, David Lynch is a protean artist whose work, as rich as it is disturbing, explores the meanders of the unconscious. From "Blue Velvet" to "Mulholland Drive", his films, marked by a meticulous aesthetic and an often oppressive atmosphere, have helped redefine the boundaries of cinema. But Lynch does not limit himself to the seventh art. Painter, photographer, musician, he expresses his singular vision through multiple mediums, demonstrating a talent as vast as it is singular. He is currently taking part in the exhibition FAIRE LIEU: L'ART EN ESPACES at the Dakar Biennale, November 2024.
