Serge Binen, born in 1979 in Douala, is a multi-talented, self-taught artist who contributes to cleaning up our ecosystem by recovering any polluting objects and/or materials that don't rot, and giving them an aesthetic, a new life. He wields wood, iron, bronze, aluminum, copper and plastic with great ease, sometimes adding resin to create forms that often take the form of strange humans, insects, animals, robots, machines, cars or motorcycles, whether giant or on a reduced scale. "It's my way of protecting the environment so that humans can enjoy it to the full. human beings to the full", he often says proudly.
