Najoua El Hitmi was born in 1978 in Tangier (Morocco), where she still lives today. After studying tourism, she became a travel agent. Her love of travel has taken her from the exploration of countries (ages) to that of the human being, notably through training in sophrology and energy therapies. Until the discovery of painting, of the woman painter, like a surge of energy from the depths of her being that has found its orientation. She leads her life as a quest for an alliance between tradition and modernity. Her painting is the fruit of this quest, and reveals itself through the boldness of her forms, the light of her letters and, at times, the discreet presence of the matrices of all her manifestations. When Najoua El Hitmi paints, her whole body is suspended in an intimate conversation. Her presence in the moment is such that she becomes a mediator for us, an intermediary with that which is beyond us. Her hand sets itself in motion, and each stroke, each color, becomes a mirror of what's within us, the awakening of a brief radiance as our eyes are opened.
