Samson Gahoui is a painter and visual artist, from Cotonou, Benin. His artistic influences are rooted in abstract painting, récup'art, traditional dyeing and his travels across the continent, from Mali to Burkina Faso, via Togo, Senegal, Nigeria, Ghana and Niger. Since 2014, he has chosen to set down his brushes in Senegal, West Africa's artistic crossroads, “Sensitive to the way we look at the world, to the little tenderness we dispense around us”, Samson Gahoui passes on his message to new generations: non-violence, solidarity, love, African awareness and the desire to pass on a meaningful work. Today, he exhibits and distributes his art in many countries around the globe: Dak'Art (Senegal), Centre culturel de Mouscron (Belgium), Centre culturel américain du Bénin, Luxembourg, France, Germany.
