Formerly known as Bonapriso Center for the Arts (BC Arts), the mission and vision of the Annie Kadji Art Gallery have not changed much since its launch in 2004 by founder Annie Rachel Kadji Mbialeu. Located in Douala, Cameroon, this multifunctional contemporary art space aims to provide a unique platform for presenting and promoting the arts. Pushing beyond simple visual arts, while focusing on African art, the AK Art Gallery is committed to making art accessible to all and to valorizing African art. Through solo and group exhibitions in the gallery, developing viable connections with galleries around the world and organizing social events around art, AK Art Gallery aims to become a driving force in the art world on the continent and further afield. Through workshops, internships and residencies, AK Art Gallery strives to educate and be accessible not only to artists, but also to our local community.
