Vernissage by Gerald Chukwuma at O'DA ART: “Water Carried Us Here, Water The French Embassy in Cameroon and the Institut Français du Cameroun (IFC) are pleased to present ‘Pour toutes’, an exceptional event celebrating International Women's Rights Month.

From March 1 to 31, 2025, IFC centers in Yaoundé, Douala and Garoua will offer a rich and varied program, highlighting the place of women in society and raising public awareness of the challenges of gender equality.

A diversified program for all audiences
The “Pour toutes” event is intended as a space for exchange, reflection and celebration, through a series of activities open to all:

Debates and conferences: Meetings with specialists, researchers and activists committed to gender equality. These discussions will address a variety of themes, including access to education, women's economic empowerment and the fight against gender-based violence.

Concerts: Musical performances featuring talented female artists, illustrating the diversity and richness of Cameroon's female art scene.

Interactive workshops: Learning and creative spaces for young and old, enabling participants to explore different fields such as photography, painting, writing and women's entrepreneurship.

Film screenings: A selection of films made by women or about the struggles and successes of female figures around the world. Each screening will be followed by a discussion with the audience to explore the themes in greater depth.

Live performances: Plays, performances and staged readings that question social representations and the challenges of women's identity and emancipation.

An artist in the spotlight: Lauriane Yougang with “Confession intime”.
Among the many talents in the spotlight, Lauriane Yougang will present her work “Confession intime”, a show that explores the realities, doubts and hopes of women in contemporary society. Through poignant staging and sensitive narration, she gives a voice to those whose stories are too often ignored.
