Presentation

Kokouvi ADOKOU aka Pascal Adok-Zambé was born in Lomé (Togo) in 1989. From an early age, he has always been immersed in the world of art, so much so that his relationship with painting was born precisely through his passion for Traditional African Dance and Music, which enabled him to refine his sensitivity, his spirit of observation and his 360° perception of human beings and their surroundings. Thanks to this background, he began to deepen his interest in the performing arts, becoming both a theater and contemporary dance performer, accompanying him on his various travels between Ghana, Benin, Burkina Faso and Côte d'Ivoire. In 2011, he left his native Togo for a new adventure in Mali to study, deepen his knowledge and pursue his artistic development. With a degree in Human Sciences, in 2014 he began his studies at the Conservatoire des Arts et Métiers Multimédia Balla Fasséké Kuoyaté (CAMM-BFK) in Bamako (Mali), where he obtained a professional Bachelor's degree in Plastic Arts, which later led him to pursue his career studies with a Master's degree in Plastic Arts. During his studies at the Conservatoire, seeing his great creative spirit, he was offered professorships in some of Mali's capital city's art high schools, where he gave theoretical classes and workshops in painting, dance, theater and silkscreen printing, enabling him to share his experience and skills in the artistic field with young children, creating contemporary projects and shows that gradually helped him to make a name for himself in the milieu. Some of his works have been exhibited at Palais de la Culture AHB-Bamako, Espace TUMAS Bamako, HGallery-Mali, on the online platform of Galerie ASUKART Diaspora Togo-Bénin and at Espace GIZ Allemand where in 2020 he also won the German GIZ prize on the theme of Sensibilisation des jeunes de la Ville de Bamako à la paix, à l'extrémisme violent et à la cohésion sociale. Thanks to these experiences, today he is also spokesman and communications officer for FIFAC (Fédération Internationale des Formateurs en Art et Culture) in Togo, and founder of TACAR-MALI, an artistic troupe that brings art and culture into dialogue through theater, dance and music .
