Presentation

Born in Lagos and originally from Bayelsa State (Nigeria), Michael Kpodoh studied at the Auchi Polytechnic of Arts. He graduated with honors in 2001 and 2004 respectively. A talented multi-talented artist, Kpodoh's works have a strong presence due to his mastery of various mix media techniques (collage, different materials). The themes of his work are centered on personal visions, cultural identities, in short the fusion of traditional modes of representation with symbols of African origin. Kpodoh has taken part in several local and international exhibitions (New York, California, Venice and Dakar). He is currently President of PACA- NIGÉRIA (Cercle Panafricain des Artistes).
