Richard Adusu, born in 1983 in Accra, Ghana, is a contemporary artist and musician based on the shores of Accra, the city of Ghana. He holds a diploma from the Ghanatta College of Arts and Designs. Over many years of practice and experimentation, Adusu has discovered his own style and voice in the artistic fraternity. Using a self-made tattered brush and oils or acrylics mixed with modeling clay, he embellishes his canvases with true stories from the African diaspora. The highly textured nature of his portraits, made from modelling clay and acrylic or oil, also aims to mimic the rocky nature of life that helps shape the beauty of our existence.
