This region has the largest number of museums in Cameroon. There are more than ten, including:

The Bamendjou museum: a community museum created in 1975 by King Bamendjou and inaugurated in 2009. Located in the Hauts-Plateaux department, Bamendjou district, it showcases the history of the chiefdom and the artistic and creative wealth of this eponymous people. 

The Bamendjida museum: Located in the Bamboutos department, the Bamendjinda museum is a space dedicated to historical memory and the transmission of heritage. It sheds light on the history of the slave trade, drawing a distinction between customary slavery and slave trade slavery.

The Bafou museum: Inaugurated in 2017, this museum presents the culture, history and traditions of the Bafou people. Located in the Bafou chiefdom, it is the brainchild of the late Tazo Etienne.

The Bapa museum: inaugurated in 2018, this is a community museum located in the Bangou commune in the highlands. It traces the history of the Bapa people and the organisation of the chiefdom. It also showcases traditional and artistic skills in harmony with the environment and spirituality. It is headed by His Majesty Simeu David II

The Baham museum: The Royal Baham Museum was inaugurated in 2003. It is located in the king's palace and focuses on themes relating to history-tradition, customs and objects of communication.

The Bangoua museum: a tourist and cultural structure dedicated to the arts, hunting and traditions. It was inaugurated in November 2011 and is located in the department of Ndé, in Bangangté to be precise. It is the work of His Majesty Djampou Tchatchouang Anick Julio (King of the Bangoua) and his partners.

Bandjoun Station: a contemporary art museum created by Barthélémy Toguo in Bandjoun in 2000. It was inaugurated in 2013. It is a space dedicated to the presentation and promotion of the culture and history of the peoples of West Cameroon.

Batoufam Museum: this royal ethnographic museum was created in 2012. It is located in the Koung-Khi department, in the Bayangam district. It showcases the culture and tourist sites of the Batoufam Kingdom. His Majesty Innocent Nayang Toukam is the promoter of the museum, which is directed by Ngandjouong Arsène.

The Bamougoum Museum: this is an ethnographic community museum inaugurated in 2014. It is located in the district of Bafoussam III and is built under a calabash. A symbolic object for these people.  The project to build the museum is rooted in the vision and commitment of the Bamougoum village chief.

The Museum of the Bamoun Kings: It has existed since 1920 in the sultan's palace. It was the initiative of Sultan Ibrahim Mbombo Njoya. The Museum of the Kings is a temple to the collective memory of the Bamoun monarchs and people. It is located in the Mun department and covers more than 4,000 m². It contains almost 12,000 art objects relating to the history of the Bamoun people.

The Museum of Bamoun Arts and Traditions: a public museum created in 1930. It is located in the department of Noun, in the commune of Foumban. It showcases numerous works including clay masks, sculpted frescoes, etc. The promoter of this cultural institution is Mose Yeyap.

The Museum of Civilisations in Dschang: Located in the Menoua department, the museum was inaugurated in 2010. It is an initiative of the Route des Chefferies. It is the result of collaboration between the towns of Dschang and Nantes, with support from the diaspora grouped in the Pays De La Loire-Cameroon association. It covers an area of 1,200 m².
